About me

'When she’s not busy working behind the scenes, London-based prop supervisor Claire Auvache spends her time drawing, Auvache creates caricatures of friends and family as well as illustrating things from her imagination or that have piqued her interest. ‘It’s funny, when I was a fine-arts student, I was a huge perfectionist,’ she says. ‘I always used a pencil so that I could rub out what I felt were mistakes. Now I purposely choose to work with a pen and occasionally watercolors directly so I can’t rub anything out.’ Flow magazine 2017
I studied fine Art and printmaking at Hertfordshire and Brighton University from 1998-2005. It was while I was printmaking at Brighton that I started to illustrate but once the course was over left it for a few years. I was bought a book by my boyfriend in 2015 'Draw 100 things' so I did and the illustrating started again. I've then been getting commissions for many different people.
